Welcome to When To Stream’s Weekly Tracking Report. Every Friday, we break down the film titles whose first window streaming premieres are still not confirmed. This column will not examine second window SVOD premieres, though we’ll obviously still be tracking and reporting those.
One note: There are hundreds of new films every year, and we’re not able to track or highlight every single one. For now, we concentrate on major studio and larger indie distributor releases. There are titles not here whose streaming release dates we will report when available.

Theatrical Release Date: July 31, 2026
Tracking: This Janus Films release looks to stay theatrical exclusive for about two month as it slowly rolls out in theaters. We’re estimating a digital release date in early Fall.

VOD/Digital Estimate: Late September / Early October 2026
Theatrical Release Date: July 31, 2026
Tracking: The last Spider-Man film received a healthy 3-month window (Theatrical date: 12/17/21; Digital Date: 3/15/22). We’ll see if Sony sticks to that strategy, though we think a 60-day window seems more plausible these days. We’ll see!

Theatrical Release Date: August 7, 2026
Tracking: Roadside Attractions have been keeping their titles theatrical exclusive for 5-6 weekends lately, so we’re thinking this doc hits digital later next month.

Theatrical Release Date: August 7, 2026
Tracking: Magnolia rolls this out slowly over the next few weeks, with a digital date not expected until early Fall.

Tracking: MUBI will be in no hurry to get this to its streaming platform (or VOD), as it will make a perfect early October release for the streamer.

Tracking: A24 keeps this going in theaters, where it’s doing ok. We’re estimating a digital release in the middle of next month.

Tracking: This well-reviewed dino thriller should get at least 5-6 weekends of theatrical exclusivity by Warner Bros. Look for it to hit PVOD later next month.

Tracking: This Sony Pictures title should start big and fall quickly at the box-office. We’re estimating the studio will give this one at least a 30-day theatrical window.

Tracking: Black Bear Pictures gamely tries to get audiences to see a comedy in theaters, and we fear it’s a tough road ahead for them. We’re estimating a digital release after about four weekends in theaters.

Tracking: Roadside Attractions titles have been maintaining a 30-45 day theatrical window, which puts the digital date for this one right at the start of Halloween season.

Tracking: This Ketchup Entertainment title finally makes it to the big screen, and we imagine the upstart distributor will be in no hurry to rush it to digital. We’re estimating a 4 week window is likely.
