According to our sources, Independent Film Company is expected to release their horror thriller THIS IS NOT A TEST on VOD and digital platforms later this month, arriving on March 13th, 2026. The film world premiered at the 2025 Toronto After Dark Film Festival before launching in US theaters on February 20th, 2026.

This is Not a Test is written and directed by Adam MacDonald, who adapted from the 2012 novel of the same name by Courtney Summers. It stars Olivia Holt, Froy Gutierrez, and Luke MacFarlane.
In the film, Sloane and four classmates take cover in Cortege High to escape a world plagued by the infected. As danger relentlessly pounds on the doors, Sloane begins to see the world through the eyes of those who actually want to live and takes matters into her own hands.
