Welcome to When To Stream’s Weekly Tracking Report. Every Friday, we break down the film titles whose first window streaming premieres are still not confirmed. This column will not examine second window SVOD premieres, though we’ll obviously still be tracking and reporting those.
One note: There are hundreds of new films every year, and we’re not able to track or highlight every single one. For now, we concentrate on major studio and larger indie distributor releases. There are titles not here whose streaming release dates we will report when available.

STAR WARS: THE MANDALORIAN AND GROGU
Theatrical Release Date: May 22, 2026
Tracking: Disney is staying steady with their 60-day windows, so look for this one to hit digital towards the end of July.

PVOD Estimate: Late July 2026
Theatrical Release Date: May 29, 2026
Tracking: For whatever reason, this one’s taking its time getting to digital. Wouldn’t be surprised if it popped up next week. We’ll see.

PVOD Estimate: Early / Mid July 2026
Theatrical Release Date: June 5, 2026
Tracking: We’re hearing Amazon MGM will be bypassing PVOD and go straight Prime Video/SVOD for the one. The studio’s Crime 101 hit streaming after 46 days, but we think the film’s poor box office will mean an earlier launch. We’re thinking next week is very likely.

SVOD Estimate: Early July 2026 (Prime Video)
Theatrical Release Date: June 12, 2026
Tracking: The first new Spielberg film since 2022’s The Fabelmans, this sci-fi thriller will likely enjoy a much longer theatrical window than that drama (which hit PVOD after 31 days). For now, we’re estimating a 45-day window, putting its digital release towards the end of July.

Theatrical Release Date: June 12, 2026
Tracking: This Bleecker Street Films comedy might have a similar window to their last comedy, Spinal Tap II: The End Continues. We’re hearing this one may stay theatrical exclusive a little longer, so pushing back our estimate a bit.

Tracking: NEON is opening this well reviewed thriller wide this weekend, and unless it does breakout business, it should be hitting digital by the middle of this month.

Tracking: Magnolia rolls this out slowly over the next few weeks, so we’re estimating a longer than usual theatrical window for the distributor.
