Update 7/7: The A24 horror thriller BACKROOMS did not arrive on PVOD today, as we had expected. We’ll post as soon as we have confirmation of a launch date.
According to our sources, A24 is expected to release their hit horror thriller BACKROOMS on VOD and digital platforms early next month, arriving on July 7th, 2026. The film launched in US theaters on May 29th, 2026.

Backrooms is directed by Kane Parsons and written by Will Soodik. It stars Chiwetel Ejiofor, Renate Reinsve, Mark Duplass, Finn Bennett, and Lukita Maxwell.
In the film, a strange doorway appears in the basement of a furniture showroom, leading to an endless network of interconnected rooms where time bends and the only thing scarier than getting lost is the sense that something is laying in wait.
