Welcome to When To Stream’s monthly preview! We’re here to give you an overview of the top streaming titles (including PVOD, Digital, and SVOD) expected in January 2026, and also give a glimpse at the films we expect to launch this month, but have not yet been announced.

AMERICANA (Starz)
Cast: Sydney Sweeney, Paul Walter Hauser, Halsey, Simon Rex, with Eric Dane, and Zahn McClarnon
Synopsis: A gallery of dynamic characters clash over the possession of a rare Native American artifact in this wildly entertaining modern-day western. After the artifact falls onto the black market, a shy waitress with big dreams (Sweeney) teams up with a lovelorn military veteran (Hauser) to gain possession of it, putting them in the crosshairs of a ruthless criminal (Dane) working on behalf of a Western antiquities dealer (Rex). Bloodshed ensues when others join the battle, including the leader of an indigenous group (McClarnon) and a desperate woman fleeing her mysterious past (Halsey).
THE HOME (Starz)

Synopsis: A troubled man starts working at a retirement home and realizes its residents and caretakers harbor sinister secrets. As he investigates the building and its forbidden fourth floor, he starts to uncover connections to his own past and upbringing as a foster child.
THE LONG WALK (Starz)
Cast: Cooper Hoffman, David Jonsson, Charlie Plummer, Ben Wang, Roman Griffin Davis, Judy Greer, and Mark Hamill
Synopsis: In a dystopian near-future, 100 teenage boys must embark on an annual competitive test known as “The Long Walk”. The rules are simple: maintain a speed above 4 miles per hour. Receive three warnings in an hour and you’re shot dead. The last one walking gets whatever he wants for the rest of his life. Under these grim circumstances the boys develop deep friendships despite knowing that each of their friends’ survival is a threat to their own.
THE UNBREAKABLE BOY (Starz)
Cast: Zachary Levi, Meghann Fahy, Jacob Laval, Drew Powell, Gavin Warren, and Patricia Heaton.
Synopsis: Austin is a boy with both a rare brittle-bone disease and autism. But what makes Austin truly unique is his joyous, funny, life-affirming worldview that transforms and unites everyone around him.

PETER HUJAR’S DAY (VOD/Digital)

Synopsis: A recently discovered conversation between photographer Peter Hujar and his friend Linda Rosenkrantz in 1974 reveals a glimpse into New York City’s downtown art scene and the personal struggles and epiphanies that define an artist’s life.
