According to our sources, the animated comedy THE SPONGEBOB MOVIE: SEARCH FOR SQUAREPANTS is expected to make its SVOD debut later this month, arriving on Paramount+ on February 17th, 2026. The film launched in US theaters on December 19th, 2025, and hit PVOD on January 20th, 2026.

The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants is based on the SpongeBob SquarePants television series, created by Stephen Hillenburg. The film is directed by series veteran Derek Drymon and stars the show’s regular voice cast alongside Mark Hamill, Regina Hall, Sherry Cola, Arturo Castro, George Lopez, and Ice Spice.
SpongeBob and his Bikini Bottom friends set sail in their biggest, all-new, can’t miss cinematic event ever. Desperate to be a big guy, SpongeBob sets out to prove his bravery to Mr. Krabs by following The Flying Dutchman – a mysterious swashbuckling ghost pirate – on a seafaring comedy-adventure that takes him to the deepest depths of the deep sea, where no Sponge has gone before.
