The supernatural horror thriller SACCHARINE is set to make its SVOD debut next month, arriving on Shudder on July 24th, 2026. The film world premiered in the Midnight Section of the 2026 Sundance Film Festival before launching in US theaters on May 22nd, 2026. It hit VOD and digital platforms on June 12th, 2026.
Saccharine is written and directed by Natalie Erika James, and stars Midori Francis, Danielle Macdonald, Madeleine Madden and Robert Taylor.
In the film, after succumbing to an obscure weight-loss craze involving the eating of human ashes, lovelorn medical student Hana finds herself haunted by the ghost of the person she’s eating.
