Aura Entertainment is set to release their shark thriller ABOVE & BELOW on VOD and digital platforms later this month, arriving on August 25th, 2026. The film launched in US theaters on July 29th, 2026.
Above & Below is directed by Jesse V. Johnson and written by Tony Giordano. It stars Laura Marano, Antonio Banderas, Christina Ochoa, Timothy V. Murphy, Louis Mandylor, and Jess Liaudin.
In the film, during a Mexican shark dive, five friends are ambushed after discovering cartel cocaine. Trapped in a shark cage, Tatiana and Kaley are forced by the cartel to retrieve a bag of drugs on the seafloor. Battling legendary great white sharks, dwindling air, and armed killers, the survivors mount a brutal fight to outsmart their captors and escape.
