According to our sources, Black Bear Pictures is expected to release their romantic fantasy WICKER on VOD and digital platforms later this month, arriving on November 24th, 2026. The film world premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival before launching in US theaters on October 23rd, 2026.
Please note: Black Bear Pictures has neither announced nor confirmed the release date. As always, release dates are subject to change.
Wicker is directed and adapted by Alex Huston Fischer and Eleanor Wilson from the short story “The Wicker Husband” by Ursula Wills-Jones. The cast is led by Olivia Colman, Alexander Skarsgård, Peter Dinklage and Elizabeth Debicki.
In the film, on the outskirts of a village by the sea, lives a Fisherwoman; smelly, single and perpetually ridiculed. One day, fed up with her stuffy, small-minded neighbors, she commissions herself a husband to be made from wicker. In an otherwise conservative town, this unconventional romance sparks outrage, jealousy and chaos.
