Remastered Stop Making Sense Gets Theatrical Release Date

It’s been called the greatest concert film of all time. And now, Jonathan Demme’s STOP MAKING SENSE has been remastered and will re-launch in theaters on September 22nd, 2023.

Stop Making Sense is celebrating its 40th anniversary, and captures the Talking Heads at the Pantages Theater in Los Angeles in December 1983. The band will reunite for a Q&A with Spike Lee at the Toronto Film Festival.

The first week of re-release will be on IMAX screens across the country, with a regular theatrical release to follow a week later.
