Welcome to When To Stream, a website designed to help movie lovers keep track of when and where new films in the US will be available to stream. Whether on digital (iTunes, Amazon, Google Play, Redbox, etc.) or various subscription services (Netflix, Max, Paramount+, Hulu, Disney+, etc.), we’ll keep you updated on the latest film streaming news.

We launched When To Stream on Twitter (@WhenToStream) in February 2022 in response to the rapidly changing theatrical to home video landscape. In the wake of the pandemic, theatrical-to-streaming windows were shrinking, and it was increasingly difficult to know when and where new film releases would be available for home viewing. It’s our mission to help you navigate that landscape, with calendars for both theatrical and streaming, along with overview pages for all major film releases.

This project was born from a love of movies. We absolutely value the theatrical experience, and believe that movies thrive when there is a healthy theatrical market. We do not root for shorter exclusive theatrical windows. We do, however, acknowledge that for many, the home viewing experience is sometimes either preferential or the only option. Movies can be enjoyed anywhere.
