MUBI is set to release their comedy-drama ROSEBUSH PRUNING on their streaming platform and for digital sale later this month, arriving on August 21st, 2026. The film world premiered at this year’s Berlin International Film Festival before launching in US theaters on July 24th, 2026.
Rosebush Pruning is directed by Karim Aïnouz, written by Efthimis Filippou and loosely based on the 1965 film Fists in the Pocket by Marco Bellocchio. It stars Callum Turner, Riley Keough, Elle Fanning, Jamie Bell, Tracy Letts and Pamela Anderson.
In the film, in a Spanish villa, American siblings Jack, Ed, Anna and Robert wallow in isolation and their inherited fortune. When Jack wants to move in with his girlfriend and Ed uncovers the truth about their mother’s death, the fabric of the family begins to unravel.
