Music Box Films is set to release their Italian caper comedy THE LAST ONE FOR THE ROAD on VOD and digital platforms next month, arriving on June 16th, 2026. The film world premiered in the Un Certain Regard section of the 2025 Cannes Film Festival before launching in US theaters on May 1st, 2026.
The Last One for the Road is co-written and directed by Francesco Sossai. It stars Filippo Scotti, Sergio Romano, Pierpaolo Capovilla, Roberto Citran, and Andrea Pennacchi.
In the film, two middle-aged friends, who swear each drink is their last, cross paths with a shy architecture student and take him under their wing on a free-flowing bender through the Italian countryside in a scruffy intergenerational odyssey.
