The Independent Film Company reimagining of FACES OF DEATH is set to make its SVOD debut next month, arriving on Shudder on July 10th, 2026. The film world premiered at the 2026 Beyond Fest Chicago before launching in US theaters on April 10th, 2026. It hit PVOD on May 12th, 2026.
Faces of Death is directed by Daniel Goldhaber, who also co-wrote the film with Isa Mazzei. It stars Barbie Ferreira, Dacre Montgomery, Josie Totah, Aaron Holliday, Jermaine Fowler, and Charli XCX.
In the film, the exploration of the original film’s infamous “is it real or not?” conceit continues as a woman working as a content moderator for a major video platform discovers what appears to be re-enactments of murders from the original film. In an online world where nothing can be trusted, she must determine whether the violence is fiction, or unfolding in real time.
