Welcome to When To Stream’s Weekly Tracking Report. Every Friday, we break down the film titles whose first window streaming premieres are still not confirmed. This column will not examine second window SVOD premieres, though we’ll obviously still be tracking and reporting those.
One note: There are hundreds of new films every year, and we’re not able to track or highlight every single one. For now, we concentrate on major studio and larger indie distributor releases. There are titles not here whose streaming release dates we will report when available.

Here are the film titles (in order of theatrical release) we are currently tracking:
Theatrical Release Date: April 17, 2026
Tracking: A 6/23 VOD/Digital release date is set.

Theatrical Release Date: May 1, 2026
Tracking: 20th Century Studios’ releases consistently hit digital after 6-7 weekends in theaters. This sequel should follow suit and hit digital late next month.
Pre-Order Availability: No
PVOD Estimate: Late June 2026

BILLIE EILISH: HIT ME HARD AND SOFT: THE TOUR (LIVE IN 3D)
Theatrical Release Date: May 8, 2026
Tracking: A James Cameron film, and Big Jim gets long theatrical window. We’re estimating around 60-days for this concert doc.
Pre-Order Availability: Yes ($24.99)
PVOD Estimate: Early / Mid July 2026
Theatrical Release Date: May 8, 2026
Tracking: Amazon MGM titles are either fast-tracked (Mercy) or slow-walked (Project Hail Mary) to digital. We think this one will likely fall somewhere in the middle.
Pre-Order Availability: No
PVOD Estimate: Mid / Late June 2026

Theatrical Release Date: May 8, 2026
Tracking: 1-2 Special titles have enjoyed lengthy theatrical windows, so we’re estimating this one won’t hit digital until at least July.
Pre-Order Availability: Yes ($9.99)
VOD/Digital Estimate: Early July 2026
Theatrical Release Date: May 15, 2026
Tracking: Lots of rumors (and false information) about when Focus will launch this on PVOD. Box-office doesn’t seem to be cooling yet, so it could be as early as 6/16 or as late as 6/30. This one is defying all expectations, so it may even be held back until July.
Pre-Order Availability: No
PVOD Estimate: Mid / Late June 2026

Theatrical Release Date: May 15, 2026
Theatrical Release Date: May 22, 2026
Tracking: This NEON title looks to follow the distributor’s usual 4-5 weekend window. We’re estimating it’ll hit digital by the end of this month.
Pre-Order Availability: Yes ($24.99)
VOD/Digital Estimate: Late June 2026

STAR WARS: THE MANDALORIAN AND GROGU
Theatrical Release Date: May 22, 2026
Tracking: Disney is staying steady with their 60-day windows, so look for this one to hit digital towards the end of July.
Pre-Order Availability: No
PVOD Estimate: Late July 2026
Theatrical Release Date: May 22, 2026
Tracking: Paramount’s new window policy means this horror thriller will enjoy 45-day in theaters. Look for it to hit PVOD in early July.
Pre-Order Availability: Yes ($24.99)
PVOD Estimate: Early July 2026

Theatrical Release Date: May 22, 2026
Tracking: Black Bear Pictures expanded this well-reviewed crime thriller nationally last weekend. We’re estimating a digital release about one month after the expansion.
Pre-Order Availability: No
VOD/Digital Estimate: Late June 2026

Theatrical Release Date: May 29, 2026
Tracking: This A24 title (and record-breaking hit) will take its time getting to digital. We’re estimating will keep it theatrical exclusive until mid Summer.
Pre-Order Availability: No
PVOD Estimate: Mid July 2026
Theatrical Release Date: May 29, 2026
Tracking: Only the third Sony Pictures wide release of the year, we’re estimating the studio will stick with its usual 31-day theatrical-to-digital window.
Pre-Order Availability: No
PVOD Estimate: Late June / Early July 2026

Theatrical Release Date: May 29, 2026
Tracking: Lionsgate opened this in limited release last weekend, expanding nationwide this weekend. We’re estimating a PVOD release about 30-days after this expansion.
Pre-Order Availability: Yes ($24.99)
PVOD Estimate: Early July 2026
Theatrical Release Date: May 29, 2026
Tracking: This Focus Features release didn’t have the break-out box-office their Obsession is currently enjoying (though it did fine). It’ll still likely hit PVOD after three weekends in theaters.
Pre-Order Availability: No
PVOD Estimate: Mid June 2026

Theatrical Release Date: June 5, 2026
Tracking: This Magnolia Pictures title will likely follow the distributor’s 3-4 week theatrical window playbook. We’re estimating a digital release within that timeframe.
Pre-Order Availability: Yes ($19.99)
VOD/Digital Estimate: Late June / Early July 2026
Theatrical Release Date: June 5, 2026
Tracking: We’re hearing Amazon MGM will be bypassing PVOD and go straight Prime Video/SVOD for the one. The studio’s Crime 101 hit streaming after 46 days, so that’s what we’re using as a comp.
Pre-Order Availability: No
SVOD Estimate: Late July 2026 (Prime Video)

Theatrical Release Date: June 5, 2026
Tracking: Technically a Paramount Pictures release, but it’s not really getting a wide release, so we don’t think it’ll get the studio’s new mandated 45-day window. We’re estimating it’ll hit VOD by the end of the month.
Pre-Order Availability: Yes ($14.99)
VOD/Digital Estimate: Late June 2026
Theatrical Release Date: June 5, 2026
Tracking: This Paramount release will certainly get 45-day theatrical exclusivity, making a late July PVOD release date the most likely.
Pre-Order Availability: Yes ($24.99)
PVOD Estimate: Late July 2026
