In our weekly feature, we’re taking a look at the top 10 titles on the Apple TV, Prime Video, and Fandango at Home transactional digital services. These charts are a snapshot and change daily, but we thought it would be interesting to give you a weekly analysis.
This week, Paul Thomas Anderson’s ONE BATTLE AFTER ANOTHER continued to hold off new releases and topped both the Apple TV and Fandango at Home charts. It’s expected to have a price drop next week, so we imagine it will continue to hover around the top at least until it launches on HBO Max later this month.
Paramount’s Colleen Hoover adaptation REGRETTING YOU debuted at the top spot on Prime Video, and hit the top 5 on both Apple and Fandango. The studio launched the film with what we call ‘Small p PVOD’, pricing it not at $24.99 Sale / $19.99 Rental, but at $19.99 Sale / $14.99 Rental. It’ll be interesting to see if the lower price keeps it in the top 5 for a few weeks.
Focus Features’ BUGONIA also showed strength in its first week on digital. The Yorgos Lanthimos film landed at #2 on Apple and #3 on Fandango, but it has yet to hit the Prime Video top 10.
The only other new release from last week to make a ripple was Richard Linklater’s BLUE MOON, which landed at #53 on Apple and #200 on Fandango. URCHIN, I WISH YOU ALL THE BEST, and LAST DAYS all failed to chart.

- Lionsgate’s aggressive price drop, with identical sale/rental offering, pays off for the studio. It re-entered all three charts this week.

- Focus Features gave this a longer window than usual (31 days vs. the standard 18 days). Prominent placement on Fandango’s home page likely helped propel sales.
- (2) ROOFMAN – $24.99 Sale / $19.99 Rental
- (New) REGRETTING YOU – $19.99 Sale / $14.99 Rental
- As we mentioned above, Paramount’s small ‘p’ PVOD strategy is interesting. But are they leaving money on the table? We’ll see if it’s a one-off, or if they try it with future releases.

- This Aziz Ansari comedy is still holding strong in the top 10. It’s scheduled for a price drop next week, so we’ll see if that can keep it strong on the charts.
