According to our sources, NEON is expected to release their award-winning drama SENTIMENTAL VALUE on VOD and digital platforms later this month, arriving on December 23rd, 2025. The film world premiered at this year’s Cannes Film Festival, where it won the second place (behind It Was Just an Accident) Grand Prix prize, and launched in US theaters on November 7th, 2025.

Sentimental Value is directed by Joachim Trier, who co-wrote the screenplay with Eskil Vogt. It stars Renate Reinsve, Stellan Skarsgård, Inga Ibsdotter Lilleaas, Elle Fanning and Cory Michael Smith.
In the film, sisters Nora and Agnes reunite with their estranged father, the charismatic Gustav, a once-renowned director who offers stage actress Nora a role in what he hopes will be his comeback film. When Nora turns it down, she soon discovers he has given her part to an eager young Hollywood star. Suddenly, the two sisters must navigate their complicated relationship with their father — and deal with an American star dropped right into the middle of their complex family dynamics.
Sentimental Value was recently nominated for 7 Golden Globe Awards, including Best Motion Picture – Drama, Best Motion Picture – Non-English Language, Best Director (Trier), Best Actress – Drama (Reinsve), Best Supporting Actor (Skarsgård), Best Supporting Actress x2 (Lilleaas, Fanning), and Best Screenplay (Vogt, Trier).
The film was also selected as the Norwegian entry for Best International Feature Film at the 98th Academy Awards.
