When to Stream’s Weekly Tracking Report
Welcome to When To Stream’s Weekly Tracking Report. Every Friday, we’ll break down the film titles whose first window streaming premieres are still not confirmed. This column will not examine second window SVOD premieres, though we’ll obviously still be tracking and reporting those.
One note: There are hundreds of new films every year, and we’re not able to track or highlight every single one. For now, we concentrate on major studio and indie distributor releases.

Here are the film titles (in order of theatrical release) we are currently tracking:
Theatrical Release Date: July 12, 2024
Tracking: A24 announced they’ll be re-releasing the film in theaters starting January 17th. We imagine a digital release date before then is highly unlikely. Adjusted our estimate accordingly.

VOD/Digital Estimate: February 2025
Theatrical Release Date: October 18, 2024
Tracking: Though much anticipated, we still don’t have confirmation from NEON that this title will launch next week. It could very well happen, we just don’t have the evidence to make the official call. Stay tuned for news (hopefully).

Tracking: The film launched on Prime Video yesterday, 12/12.

Tracking: Sideshow Pictures will slowly expand this throughout awards season, with a digital release not likely until early next year.

Tracking: A blockbuster for Universal, it will be interesting to see if they pull the PVOD trigger after 31 days. If they do, that would make it available on Christmas Eve. Will they resist? For now, we think that PVOD money will be too tempting to pass up. And their family films have proven resilient in theaters even with concurrent PVOD availability.

Tracking: As with Wicked, this Paramount title is positioned to arrive on PVOD during the lucrative Christmas/New Year’s corridor. If it has legs and plays big through December, the studio will likely hold it back. For now, we’re estimating it’ll hit digital before the end of the year.

Tracking: Disney has been keeping their films exclusively in theater for 60 days, and there’s no reason to think they won’t do the same with this blockbuster.

Tracking: A24 takes this title wide-ish (460 screens) this weekend. We’ve estimated a digital release around the Oscar nominations (1/17), with the hope that Daniel Craig gets a Best Actor nod.
