When to Stream’s Weekly Tracking Report
Welcome to When To Stream’s Weekly Tracking Report. Every Friday, we’ll break down the film titles whose first window streaming premieres are still not confirmed. This column will not examine second window SVOD premieres, though we’ll obviously still be tracking and reporting those.
One note: There are hundreds of new films every year, and we’re not able to track or highlight every single one. For now, we concentrate on major studio and indie distributor releases.
Here are the film titles (in order of theatrical release) we are currently tracking:

Tracking: Janus Films’ usual 90-day window has come and gone. Still, we’re hopeful a digital and/or Criterion launch date announcement is coming soon.

Theatrical Release Date: May 31, 2024
Tracking: Unfortunately, this animated gem has not broken out at the box-office. Still no pre-order, but we anticipate a digital launch in the next few weeks.

Tracking: An 8/20 PVOD release date was announced.

Tracking: This Janus Films/Sideshow release looks to play through its titular season. We’re estimating it’ll arrive on streaming in September.

Theatrical Release Date: July 12, 2024
Tracking: We’re estimating this Apple Studios/Sony Pictures release will have a similar window to Argylle, which was 31 days.

Tracking: We know a few sites are reporting an 8/27 release date, but the distributor has assured us their launch plans have not been set. That might end up being the date, but no confirmation yet.

Tracking: Sony’s theatrical exclusive windows have been pretty consistent this year, giving their films 45-days in theaters. We’re estimating the same for this family title.

Tracking: Sony Pictures Classics has been pushing this Irish import hard, and opening it (relatively) wide this weekend. Look for a PVOD release in about a month.
