I USED TO BE FUNNY Gets Netflix Streaming Premiere Date

As first reported by What’s On Netflix, Netflix has set a streaming premiere date for the comedy-drama I USED TO BE FUNNY, which will launch on their platform on September 5th, 2024. The film world-premiered at the 2023 SXSW Film Festival before launching in US theaters in limited release on June 7th, 2024. It arrived on digital platforms on June 18th.

I Used to Be Funny was written and directed by Ally Pankiw and stars Rachel Sennott as Sam, a young stand-up comedian and au pair struggling with PTSD, who is weighing whether or not to join the search for Brooke, a missing girl she used to nanny.

The cast also includes Sabrina Jalees and Caleb Hearon as Sam's fellow comedians and roommates Paige and Philip, Jason Jones as Brooke's father Cameron, Dani Kind as Brooke's aunt Jill, as well as Ennis Esmer, Dan Beirne, Stephen Alexander, Hoodo Hersi and Miguel Rivas in supporting roles.
