When to Stream’s Weekly Tracking Report

Welcome to When To Stream’s Weekly Tracking Report. Every Friday, we’ll break down the film titles whose first window streaming premieres are still not confirmed. This column will not examine second window SVOD premieres, though we’ll obviously still be tracking and reporting those.

One note: There are hundreds of new films every year, and we’re not able to track or highlight every single one. For now, we concentrate on major studio and indie distributor releases.

Here are the film titles (in order of theatrical release) we are currently tracking:

Theatrical Release Date: January 17, 2025 (After a one-week Oscar qualifying run in December)

Tracking: For everyone hoping to catch this on digital before the Oscars, it’s looking unlikely to arrive before March 2nd. Shouldn’t be too long after that.

Pre-Order Availability: Yes ($24.99)

VOD/Digital Estimate: Mid March 2025

I'm Still Here

VOD/Digital Estimate: Late February 2025

Theatrical Release Date: February 7, 2025

Tracking: Sony Classics has its biggest hit since 2017’s Call Me By Your Name, we imagine they’re in no hurry to get this to digital. Holding on our estimate.

VOD/Digital Estimate: Mid March 2025

Theatrical Release Date: February 7, 2025

Tracking: MUBI’s theatrical window have been shrinking, with most titles now hitting their platform (and digital) about 4-6 weeks after theatrical launch.

Theatrical Release Date: February 7, 2025

Tracking: This Sony title took advantage of Valentine’s Day theater traffic and outgrossed its opening weekend. We expect the studio will try to keep the momentum going.

PVOD Estimate: Early/Mid March 2025

Theatrical Release Date: February 7, 2025

Tracking: This one feels like a pretty safe bet to follow Universal’s 18-day theatrical window strategy. Should have some news very soon.

PVOD Estimate: Late February 2025

Theatrical Release Date: February 7, 2025

PVOD Estimate: Late March 2025

Paddington in Peru

Tracking: NEON’s Presence had a 30-day window, which we think sounds about right for Osgood Perkins’s follow-up to Longlegs (which had a 6-week window).
