When to Stream’s Weekly Tracking Report
Welcome to When To Stream’s Weekly Tracking Report. Every Friday, we’ll break down the film titles whose first window streaming premieres are still not confirmed. This column will not examine second window SVOD premieres, though we’ll obviously still be tracking and reporting those.
One note: There are hundreds of new films every year, and we’re not able to track or highlight every single one. For now, we concentrate on major studio and indie distributor releases.

Here are the film titles (in order of theatrical release) we are currently tracking:
Theatrical Release Date: July 12, 2024
Tracking: A24 announced they’ll be re-releasing the film in theaters starting January 17th. One more week! We imagine a digital release date before then is highly unlikely.

VOD/Digital Estimate: February 2025
Theatrical Release Date: November 15, 2024
Tracking: Sideshow Pictures will slowly expand this throughout awards season, with a digital release not likely until next month.

Tracking: Disney has been keeping their films exclusively in theater for 60 days, and there’s no reason to think they won’t do the same with this blockbuster. We’re anticipating a digital date announcement from Disney in the next week or two.

Tracking: After a robust start at the box-office, we’re adjusting our digital estimate a bit. This French import should have some life in theaters.

Tracking: This Paramount title goes wide this weekend, and we’re not very bullish on its box-office prospects. Look for a digital release in about a month.

Tracking: Searchlight’s first big hit in a while, so look for it to stay theater-exclusive until a week or two before the Oscars.

Tracking: Is Universal showing more flexibility with their PVOD strategy? Wicked was given a 39-day window, will they let this holiday hit stretch its legs in theaters? It looks like they will. No sign it’s set to hit PVOD next week (though you never know). Adjusting our estimate accordingly.

Tracking: Lionsgate has consistently been sticking to a roughly 3-week theatrical window, so unless this sequel breaks out in a big way, we think that’ll be the strategy here.

Tracking: Bleecker Street is slowly rolling this awards hopeful out this weekend, with an expansion planned later this month. Look for a digital release a few weeks before the Oscars.

Tracking: Roadside Attractions tends to show patience with their non-genre titles. Look for this one to stay theatrical exclusive for at least a month.
