THE BRUTALIST Gets Max Streaming Premiere Date

The Oscar-winning drama THE BRUTALIST is set to make its SVOD debut next month, arriving on Max on May 16th, 2025. The film world premiered at the 2024 Venice Film Festival, where it won the Silver Lion, and launched in US theaters on December 20th, 2024. It hit PVOD on February 18th, 2025.
The three-time Academy Award-winning film will debut on HBO linear on SATURDAY, MAY 17 at 8:00 p.m.
The Brutalist was written and directed by Brady Corbet, from a screenplay he co-wrote with Mona Fastvold. An international co-production between the United States, United Kingdom, and Hungary, it stars Adrien Brody, Guy Pearce, Felicity Jones, Joe Alwyn, Stacy Martin, Alessandro Nivola, Raffey Cassidy, Isaach de Bankolé, Emma Laird, and Jonathan Hyde.
In the film, escaping post-war Europe, visionary architect László Toth (Brody) arrives in America to rebuild his life, his work, and his marriage to his wife Erzsébet (Jones) after being forced apart during wartime by shifting borders and regimes. On his own in a strange new country, László settles in Pennsylvania, where the wealthy and prominent industrialist Harrison Lee Van Buren (Pearce) recognizes his talent for building. But power and legacy come at a heavy cost...
