Shudder Sets September Movie Premieres

Shudder’s September schedule is coming into focus, with four films set to make their streaming premieres:

PERPETRATOR - September 1

Perpetrator is written and directed by Jennifer Reeder. It stars Kiah McKirnan, Melanie Liburd, Ireon Roach, Casimere Jollette, Tim Hopper, Josh Bywater, Chris Lowell and Alicia Silverstone. The film follows Jonny, an impulsive teenage girl living in a town where young women continue to go missing.

BLOOD FLOWER - September 8

The film tells the story of a 16-year-old apprentice faith healer and exorcist, who is tormented by visions of the dead and spirits from other dimensions. When a malicious spirit begins to wreak havoc around him, the teenaged exorcist is forced to harness his supernatural gifts to save his family and friends. Shudder’s first original from Malaysia.

ELEVATOR GAME - September 15

Supernatural horror, based on the eponymous online phenomenon, a ritual conducted in an elevator, in which players attempt to travel to another dimension using a set of rules that can be found online. Directed by Rebekah McKendry.

THE ANGRY BLACK GIRL AND HER MONSTER - September 22

A science-fiction horror film written and directed by Bomani J. Story in his directorial debut. It stars Laya DeLeon Hayes, Denzel Whitaker, Chad Coleman, Reilly Brooke Stith, Keith Sean Holliday, Amani Summer, and Edem Atsu-Swanzy. Adapted from Mary Shelley's Frankenstein, the film follows a brilliant teenage girl named Vicara (Hayes) who resurrects her brother from the dead, only for him to come back a vengeful monster.
