NEON Sets Theatrical Launch for Ava DuVernay’s ORIGIN
NEON has announced their preliminary theatrical roll-out for Ava DuVernay’s drama ORIGIN, which will launch in New York and Los Angeles on December 8th, 2023, and then expand in limited release on January 19th, 2024.
Origin was selected to compete for the Golden Lion at the 80th Venice International Film Festival, where it premiered on September 6, 2023. It stars Aunjanue Ellis as writer Isabel Wilkerson, who while grappling with tremendous personal tragedy, sets herself on a path of global investigation and discovery as she writes Caste: The Origin of Our Discontents. Jon Bernthal, Vera Farmiga, Audra McDonald, Niecy Nash-Betts, Nick Offerman and Blair Underwood co-star.
