Luca Guadagnino’s QUEER Gets Max Streaming Premiere Date

A24’s drama QUEER is set to make its SVOD debut next month, arriving on Max on March 28th, 2025. The film world premiered at the 2024 Venice Film Festival before launching in US theaters in limited release on November 27th, 2024. It hit PVOD on January 14th, 2025.

The film will also debut on HBO’s linear channel on SATURDAY, MARCH 29 at 8:00 p.m. ET.

Queer is directed by Luca Guadagnino from a screenplay by Justin Kuritzkes, based on the 1985 novel of the same name by William S. Burroughs. It stars Daniel Craig, Drew Starkey, Jason Schwartzman, Henrique Zaga, Omar Apollo, and Lesley Manville.

In 1950s Mexico City, William Lee, an American expat in his late forties, leads a solitary life amidst a small American community. However, the arrival in town of Eugene Allerton, a young student, stirs William into finally establishing a meaningful connection with someone.
