The Angel Studios’ historical drama YOUNG WASHINGTON has launched on SVOD, arriving on Wonder Project’s Amazon Channel today, October 1st, 2026. The film world premiered at the 2026 Tribeca Film Festival before debuting in US theaters on July 3rd, 2026. It hit VOD and digital platforms on August 11th, 2026.
Young Washington is directed, produced, and co-written by Jon Erwin. William Franklyn-Miller stars as George Washington, with Mary-Louise Parker, Kelsey Grammer, Andy Serkis and Ben Kingsley in supporting roles.
In the film, against the frontier of colonial America, the untold origin story of a 22-year-old George Washington unfolds—long before the Revolution, long before the Constitution—when a single mistake nearly cost him everything. After triggering the start of the French and Indian War, Washington must reckon with personal failure, devastating loss, and the weight of responsibility. What emerges from the ashes isn’t just a military leader—but a man forged by humility, courage, and conviction.
Wonder Project’s subscription on Prime Video is available in the U.S. for $8.99 per month or $89.99 per year after a 7-day free trial.
