Yorgos Lanthimos’ BUGONIA Gets Peacock Streaming Premiere Date

The Focus Features sci-fi thriller BUGONIA is set to make its SVOD debut later this month, arriving on Peacock on December 26th, 2025. The film world premiered at this year’s Venice Film Festival before launching in US theaters on October 24th, 2025. It hit PVOD on November 25th, 2025.

Bugonia is directed by Yorgos Lanthimos from a screenplay by Will Tracy. It is an English-language remake of the 2003 South Korean film Save the Green Planet! by Jang Joon-hwan. The film stars Emma Stone, Jesse Plemons, Aidan Delbis, Stavros Halkias, and Alicia Silverstone.

In the film, two conspiracy obsessed young men kidnap the high-powered CEO of a major company, convinced that she is an alien intent on destroying planet Earth.

The film was nominated for Best Feature at the Gotham Film Awards, and director Yorgos Lanthimos is nominated for Best European Director at the European Film Awards.

The release date was spotted by eagle-eyed Bluesky friend eliisonvacay.bsky.social, who noticed the listing on Comcast’s What To Watch Calendar, and provided a photo:
