In our weekly feature, we’re taking a look at the top 10 titles on the Apple TV, Prime Video, and Fandango at Home transactional digital services. These charts are a snapshot and change daily, but we thought it would be interesting to give you a weekly analysis.
This week, newly minted Oscar nominees made strides on all three charts, while Sony Pictures Classics’ NUREMBERG continued to impress. Paramount’s THE SPONGEBOB MOVIE: SEARCH FOR SQUAREPANTS had a decent debut as the only major new release of the week.
Some of the notable Oscar nominees making gains this week:
- ONE BATTLE AFTER ANOTHER – #8 on Apple, #13 on Fandango, #6 on Prime Video
- BUGONIA – #3 on Apple, #8 on Prime Video, #18 on Fandango
- SONG SUNG BLUE – #1 on Prime Video, #5 on Apple, #6 on Fandango
- SENTIMENTAL VALUE – #6 on Apple, #16 on Fandango
- IF I HAD LEGS I’D KICK YOU – #10 on Apple, #20 on Fandango
- SINNERS – #10 on Fandango, #13 on Apple
Two other new releases from last week struggled a bit: The proshot musical MERRILY WE ROLL ALONG only hit #155 on Fandango, but did manage to land at #39 on Apple. The French/Belgian import VINCENT MUST DIE failed to chart with any retailer.

- This animated comedy makes its highest debut chart position on Fandango. The retailer prominently featured it on its home page to help drive purchases and rentals.
- (10) NOW YOU SEE ME: NOW YOU DON’T – $14.99 Sale / $9.99 Rental
- Lionsgate reduced the price this week, resulting in a big bounce-back for this sequel. We’re estimating it’ll hit Starz in March.
- (New) DISASTERTAINMENT – 15-FILM (BUNDLE) – $20 Sale Only
- (3) WICKED: FOR GOOD – $29.99 Sale / $19.99 Rental
- It was blanked at the Oscars, but still selling well on digital.
- (2) SONG SUNG BLUE – $24.99 Sale / $19.99 Rental
- Kate Hudson’s Best Actress nod was the sole nomination for this Focus Features titles, but it holds up well in its second week on demand.
- (Not Ranked) NUREMBERG – $14.99 Sale / $9.99 Rental
- A price reduction vaults this WWII drama back in to the top 10.
- (New) The Mummy Trilogy (Bundle) – $14.99 Sale Only
- (4) FIVE NIGHTS AT FREDDY’S 2 – $24.99 Sale / $19.99 Rental
- (Not Ranked) SINNERS – $14.99 Sale / $5.99 Rental
- A record 16 Oscar nominations propels Ryan Coogler’s vampire thriller back in to the top 10. Impressive!

- There sure is a lot of interest in the Nuremberg trials! Anything going on in the news that might be driving that?
