Vertical Entertainment has released the official trailer and poster for their thriller THE PASSENGER, which will begin streaming on VOD and digital platforms on June 5th, 2026. The film will have a limited theatrical release day-and-date with its digital launch.
Please note: This is not to be confused with the Paramount Pictures horror thriller PASSENGER, which is currently in theaters.
The Passenger is directed by Vadim Perelmen, and is based on the 2016 play Damascus by Bennett Fisher, who adapted the screenplay. It stars Djimon Hounsou and Kodi Smit-McPhee.
In the film, a struggling airport shuttle driver (Djimon Hounsou) in Minneapolis illegally takes a stranded twenty-something (Kodi Smit-McPhee) to Chicago and soon finds himself trapped in a terrifying ride he can’t escape.
