According to our sources, Focus Features is expected to release their action drama THE UPRISING on VOD and digital platforms later this month, arriving on September 29th, 2026. The film launched in US theaters on September 11th, 2026.

The Uprising is written, produced and directed by Paul Greengrass, and stars Andrew Garfield, Jamie Bell, Stephen Dillane, Tom Hollander, Cosmo Jarvis, Thomasin McKenzie, Jonny Lee Miller, Woody Norman and Katherine Waterston.
Andrew Garfield stars as the leader of a ferocious rebellion against the tyranny of King Richard II. Set against the true events of the Uprising that helped inspire the legend of Robin Hood, he forms an army of the people to face the King’s might in a fight for justice.
