Update 12/20: Netflix has moved up the premiere date for THE THREESOME, which is now slated to launch on the streaming platform on December 27th, 2025. We’ve amended the release date on our Streaming Calendar.
The Vertical Entertainment romantic comedy THE THREESOME is set to make its SVOD debut early next month, arriving on Netflix on January 9th, 2026. The film world premiered at this year’s SXSW Festival before launching in US theaters on September 5th, 2025. It hit VOD and digital platforms on October 3rd, 2025.
The Threesome is directed by Chad Hartigan and written by Ethan Ogilby. It stars Zoey Deutch, Jonah Hauer-King, Ruby Cruz, Jaboukie Young-White, Josh Segarra, Robert Longstreet, Arden Myrin, Kristin Slaysman, Allan McLeod, and Julia Sweeney
In the film, Connor is a kind and unassuming young man, who, along with his long-time crush Olivia, engages in a threesome with a sweet, alluring stranger named Jenny. This encounter sparks a relationship between Connor and Olivia, leading them to plan a life together. However, their romance faces challenges when Jenny reappears, thrusting all three into a difficult journey toward true accountability and adulthood.
