The Greenwich Entertainment drama READING LOLITA IN TEHRAN is set to make its streaming debut next month, arriving on the public library affiliated service Kanopy on August 25th, 2026. The film world premiered at the 2024 Rome Film Festival before launching in US theaters on July 10th, 2026.
Kanopy is a streaming service offering films and television series without ads or subscription costs, all through your local participating library.
Reading Lolita in Tehran is directed by Eran Riklis and stars Golshifteh Farahani, Zar Amir, and Mina Kavani.
In the film, a professor (Golshifteh Farahani) in revolutionary Iran secretly gathers her most dedicated students to read forbidden classics of Western literature.
