The Oscar nominated Sony Pictures Classics drama BLUE MOON is set to make its SVOD debut next month, arriving on Netflix on February 14th, 2026. The film world premiered in the main competition of the 2025 Berlin International Film Festival, where it won the Silver Bear for Best Supporting Performance for Andrew Scott. It launched in US theaters on October 17th, 2025, and hit PVOD on November 25th, 2025.
Blue Moon is directed by Richard Linklater and written by Robert Kaplow. It stars Ethan Hawke, Margaret Qualley, Bobby Cannavale and Andrew Scott.
In the film, on the evening of March 31, 1943, legendary lyricist Lorenz Hart confronts his shattered self-confidence in Sardi’s bar as his former collaborator Richard Rodgers celebrates the opening night of his ground-breaking hit musical “Oklahoma!”.
The film was recently nominated for two Academy Awards, including Best Actor (Hawke) and Best Original Screenplay (Kaplow).
