According to our sources, A24 is expected to release their comedy THE INVITE on VOD and digital platforms later this month, arriving on August 11th, 2026. The film world premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival before launching in US theaters on June 26th, 2026.

The Invite is directed by Olivia Wilde, from a screenplay by Will McCormack and Rashida Jones. It is an English-language remake of the 2020 Spanish film The People Upstairs (Sentimental) by Cesc Gay, and stars Seth Rogen, Wilde, Penélope Cruz, and Edward Norton.
In the film, Joe and Angela’s marriage is on thin ice. When they invite their enigmatic upstairs neighbors for a dinner party, the night spirals into unexpected places. Have they reignited the spark or lit the match that burns it all down?
