When to Stream’s Weekly Tracking Report
Welcome to When To Stream’s Weekly Tracking Report. Every Friday, we’ll break down the film titles whose first window streaming premieres are still not confirmed. This column will not examine second window SVOD premieres, though we’ll obviously still be tracking and reporting those.
One note: There are hundreds of new films every year, and we’re not able to track or highlight every single one. For now, we concentrate on major studio and indie distributor releases.

Tracking: Still crickets on a digital release. At this point it seems clear A24 will try to re-launch this in theaters for an awards push.

Tracking: NEON will likely play the long game here. The film did pretty well in its wide release. We’re estimating it’ll hit digital before the end of the year.

Tracking: Sony’s 2024 releases have been consistently keeping a 45-day theatrical exclusive window. We’re estimating the same here.

Tracking: Lionsgate is getting this holiday comedy to theaters early, likely to get in on PVOD during the prime December Christmas corridor.

Tracking: MUBI keeps this wide this weekend. They’ve been shrinking their windows a bit, so we’re estimating it will hit digital and their streaming service in time for Christmas.

Tracking: This Roadside Attractions loses almost all its theaters this weekend, look for it to hit digital before Christmas.

Tracking: Ketchup Entertainment titles have been hitting digital after about 25 days in theaters, so that’s our estimate here.

Tracking: This is very likely to be a straight-to-Prime Video title, and we’re estimating it’ll definitely arrive there before Christmas. Based on the middling box-office, there’s no reason to think it will linger in theaters.

Theatrical Release Date: November 15, 2024
Tracking: Sideshow Pictures will slowly expand this throughout awards season, with a digital release not likely until early next year.

Tracking: Likely to be a blockbuster for Universal, it will be interesting to see if they pull the PVOD trigger after 31 days. If they do, that would make it available on Christmas Eve. Will they resist? We suppose it depends on how well it holds through December. For now, we think that PVOD money will be too tempting to pass up. And their family films have proven resilient in theaters even with concurrent PVOD availability.

Tracking: As with Wicked, this Paramount title is positioned to arrive on PVOD during the lucrative Christmas/New Year’s corridor. If it has legs and plays big through December, the studio will likely hold it back. For now, we’re estimating it’ll hit digital before the end of the year.

Tracking: A Janus Films release that has terrific Animated Feature Oscar prospects, so it’ll likely play in theaters throughout awards season. We’re estimating it’ll hit digital after nominations are announced (1/17).
