When to Stream’s Weekly Tracking Report
Welcome to When To Stream’s Weekly Tracking Report. Every Friday, we’ll break down the film titles whose first window streaming premieres are still not confirmed. This column will not examine second window SVOD premieres, though we’ll obviously still be tracking and reporting those.
One note: There are hundreds of new films every year, and we’re not able to track or highlight every single one. For now, we concentrate on major studio and indie distributor releases.

Theatrical Release Date: July 12, 2024
Tracking: Still crickets on a digital release. At this point it seems clear A24 will try to re-launch this in theaters for an awards push.

VOD/Digital Estimate: November/December 2024
Theatrical Release Date: August 9, 2024
Tracking: This title is releasing through indie label Metrograph, so we’ll see how quickly they pivot from theatrical to digital. Still no pre-order, they’re taking their time.

Theatrical Release Date: August 30, 2024
Tracking: This Cohen Media doc expands slowly in the coming weeks, so look for a digital release later in the fall.

Tracking: This A24 title has pretty much disappeared from theaters. We’re still estimating an early November release is likely.

Tracking: This Amazon MGM title is losing more than half its theaters this weekend. We’re estimating a digital release date should be announced in the next week or two.

Tracking: After a moderate expansion last weekend, this A24 title loses about half its screens this weekend. Look for a digital release date announcement in the next few weeks.

Tracking: Last year’s big MUBI theatrical titles (Passages, Fallen Leaves) had around two month theatrical windows, but this one went wide quickly, so we’re estimating it’ll go to streaming a bit earlier.

Tracking: After a brief Fathom Events opening, Warner Bros is releasing this doc in theaters again this weekend. It looks like it’s digital streaming date will be more traditional. Adjusting our estimate.
