When to Stream’s Weekly Tracking Report
Welcome to When To Stream’s Weekly Tracking Report. Every Friday, we’ll break down the film titles whose first window streaming premieres are still not confirmed. This column will not examine second window SVOD premieres, though we’ll obviously still be tracking and reporting those.
One note: There are hundreds of new films every year, and we’re not able to track or highlight every single one. For now, we concentrate on major studio and indie distributor releases.
Here are the film titles (in order of theatrical release) we are currently tracking:
Theatrical Release Date: May 3, 2024
Tracking: A Janus Films release, which means a likely 90-day theatrical window. Look for this one to hit the Criterion Channel and digital later in the summer.

Tracking: The film was released on VOD/Digital platforms on 7/2.
Theatrical Release Date: May 24, 2024
Tracking: A 7/9 PVOD release date is expected.

Tracking: The film launched on Angel Studios’ website on 6/24.
Theatrical Release Date: May 31, 2024
Tracking: Look for this title to hit Disney+ around the launch of (or during) the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Tracking: NEON will likely take their time rolling out this Oscar nominee, which we’re hoping becomes a word-of-mouth theatrical success story. Holding on our estimate for now.

Tracking: A Sony Pictures release, which means the film’s digital launch will be predicated on its box-office performance. This one’s a big, fat hit, so don’t expect a PVOD release until late next month.

Tracking: A24 looks to keep the momentum going this weekend. It is up for pre-order, but we’re pushing back our estimate a bit.

Tracking: Disney had strict 60-day theatrical exclusive windows for their 2023 animated releases, and we’re estimating they’ll do the same in 2024.

Tracking: This critically acclaimed wide release failed to break out after going semi-wide. Look for a digital release date announcement in the next week or so.

Tracking: Vertical has been fast-tracking their titles to digital lately, we’re estimating the quick pivot to digital for this Eric Bana/Sadie Sink drama.
