When to Stream’s Weekly Tracking Report
Welcome to When To Stream’s Weekly Tracking Report. Every Friday, we’ll break down the film titles whose first window streaming premieres are still not confirmed. This column will not examine second window SVOD premieres, though we’ll obviously still be tracking and reporting those.
One note: There are hundreds of new films every year, and we’re not able to track or highlight every single one. For now, we concentrate on major studio and indie distributor releases. If there are titles you’d like us to track, let us know in the comments. We’ll do our best to follow up, but might not have the bandwidth to spotlight fully.
Here are the film titles (in order of theatrical release) we are currently tracking:
Theatrical Release Date: July 28, 2023
Tracking: GKids announced a 6/25 release date for the blu-ray, though no streaming date was mentioned. Still…progress! Our estimate is adjusted accordingly.

Theatrical Release Date: December 1, 2023
Tracking: Some news! Prime Video Japan announced an exclusive streaming premiere starting on 5/3. No indication where or when it will be available outside of Japan, but we’re adjusting our estimate accordingly.

Tracking: Still no word on streaming plans for this concert film. We were hoping the release of Cowboy Carter might trigger some sort of announcement, but nothing. The lack of pre-order doesn’t give us much confidence we’ll see this soon. Holding on our estimate for now.

Tracking: A 4/23 Criterion Channel and VOD/Digital release date has been announced.

Tracking: Indie distributor Big World Pictures is handling this Franz Rogowski drama, and we don’t have much tracking info on their releases. It’s still rolling out in theaters across the country. Holding on our estimate for now.

Tracking: This Janus Films release will likely have the same theatrical exclusivity as their other titles, which means a 90-day window. Look for it on digital and the Criterion Channel around Memorial Day.

Tracking: Sony Pictures Classics will most likely slowly roll-out this adult animated feature, but look for this one to hit digital at the end of April.

Tracking: NEON has this title available for pre-order, and we’re estimating they’ll mirror the strategy of last year’s Enys Men and How to Blow Up a Pipeline, which both had about a month of theatrical exclusivity.

Tracking: This British comedy will do the usual Sony Pictures Classics slow roll-out, then likely hit digital in about two months.

Tracking: Last summer’s The Boogeyman took nearly 3 months to arrive on digital. We don’t imagine this 20th Century Studios release will take as long, but we’re still estimating a 60-day window.
