Welcome to When To Stream’s super-sized monthly preview! We’re here to give you an overview of the top streaming titles (including PVOD, Digital, and SVOD) expected in March 2025, and also give a glimpse at the films we expect to launch this month, but have not yet been announced.

Synopsis: Nothing is what it seems when a twisted one-night stand spirals into a serial killer’s vicious murder spree.
Fun Fact: Primarily known for his acting roles, this film marks Giovanni Ribisi's debut as a feature film cinematographer.

RUMOURS (Hulu)
Synopsis: En route to the annual G7 summit, the seven leaders of the world’s wealthiest liberal democracies get lost in the woods and face increasing peril while attempting to draft a provisional statement regarding a global crisis.
Fun Fact: Although Charles Dance plays the US president in the film, he uses his natural English accent. The directors wanted to subvert the audience’s expectations about the character.

HEART EYES (PVOD)
Synopsis: When the "Heart Eyes Killer" strikes Seattle, a pair of co-workers pulling overtime on Valentine's Day are mistaken for a couple by the elusive couple-hunting killer. Now, they must spend the most romantic night of the year running for their lives.
Fun Fact: The mask designer for "Heart Eyes," special effects artist Tony Gardner, also created the killer masks for "Freaky," "Happy Death Day," and "Totally Killer."
REAGAN (Starz)
Synopsis: Told through the voice of former KGB agent Viktor Petrovich, whose life becomes inextricably linked with Ronald Reagan's when Reagan first caught the Soviets’ attention as an actor in Hollywood, Reagan overcomes the odds to become the 40th president of the United States.
Fun Fact: The film is nominated for six Razzies, including Worst Picture, Worst Actor (Dennis Quaid), Worst Supporting Actor (Jon Voight), Worst Supporting Actress (Lesley Anne Down), Worst Screenplay, and Worst Screen Combo (Quaid and Penelope Ann Miller).
VERMIGLIO (VOD/Digital)
Synopsis: Set in the small, mountainous village of Vermiglio during the waning days of WWII, a series of dramatic, consequential events unfold after the arrival of a taciturn Sicilian soldier, who hides out in town after deserting the army. While there, the soldier develops a romance with a provincial family’s eldest daughter.
Fun Fact: Italy’s submission for Best International Feature at this year’s Oscars.

PICTURE THIS (Prime Video)
Synopsis: Single and without a man on the horizon, Pia runs a failing photography studio in London with her best friend Jay. As her sister Sonal prepares for marriage and her mother Laxmi urges her to partner up, a spiritual guru predicts Pia will meet the love of her life among her next five dates. With her family intervening, Pia embarks on a hilarious yet heartfelt quest for love.
Fun Fact: This is the second time that co-stars Simone Ashley and Sindhu Vee have played mother and daughter, the first being in the Netflix series Sex Education.

CHAOS: THE MANSON MURDERS (Netflix)
Synopsis: In August 1969, Charles Manson's followers killed seven people on his orders. Why? Explore a conspiracy of mind control, CIA experiments and murder.
Fun (?) Fact: Based on the 2019 book CHAOS: Charles Manson, the CIA, and the Secret History of the Sixties by Tom O’Neill with Dan Piepenbring, the film looks at the covert motives that may have led to the notorious murders.
HELLBOY: THE CROOKED MAN (Hulu)
Synopsis: Hellboy and a rookie BPRD agent get stranded in 1950s rural Appalachia. There, they discover a small community haunted by witches, led by a local devil with a troubling connection to Hellboy's past: the Crooked Man.
Fun Fact: Unlike the other three live-action Hellboy films, Mike Mignola, creator of the character, received a credit on this film for co-writing the screenplay.
HERETIC (Max)
Synopsis: Two young missionaries are forced to prove their faith when they knock on the wrong door and are greeted by a diabolical Mr. Reed, becoming ensnared in his deadly game of cat-and-mouse.
Fun Fact: Co-stars Sophie Thatcher and Chloe East were both raised Mormon and were able to give valuable insight into the religion while shooting the movie. They are no longer Mormons.
STARVE ACRE (Shudder, AMC+)
Synopsis: When their son starts acting strangely, a couple unwittingly allow dark and sinister forces into their home, awakening a long-dormant ancient evil rooted deep in the countryside.
Fun Fact: Lead actress Morfydd Clark plays Galadriel in Amazon’s The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power series.

ALL WE IMAGINE AS LIGHT (The Criterion Channel)
Synopsis: In Mumbai, Nurse Prabha's routine is troubled when she receives an unexpected gift from her estranged husband. Her younger roommate, Anu, tries in vain to find a spot in the city to be intimate with her boyfriend. A trip to a beach town allows them to find a space for their desires to manifest.
Fun Fact: The Criterion Channel will stream the film live at 8p ET, after which it will be available to stream on demand.

MOANA 2 (Disney+)
Synopsis: After receiving an unexpected call from her wayfinding ancestors, Moana journeys alongside Maui and a new crew to the far seas of Oceania and into dangerous, long-lost waters for an adventure unlike anything she's ever faced.
Fun Fact: Originally began as a television series in 2020, with plans for the series to air on Disney+. In February 2024, the series was transformed into a theatrical sequel. It made over $1B in worldwide box-office.
THE KILLER’S GAME (Starz)
Synopsis: When top hitman Joe Flood is diagnosed with a terminal illness, he decides to take matters into his own hands – by taking a hit out on himself. But when the very hitmen he hired also target his ex-girlfriend, he must fend off an army of assassin colleagues and win back the love of his life before it's too late.
Fun Fact: Dave Bautista and Sofia Boutella previously co-starred in 2018’s Hotel Artemis.

Synopsis: Kraven Kravinoff's complex relationship with his ruthless gangster father, Nikolai, starts him down a path of vengeance with brutal consequences, motivating him to become not only the greatest hunter in the world, but also one of its most feared.
Fun Fact: The first Marvel movie from Sony to be released with an "R" rating.
THE PARENTING (Max)
Synopsis: A young gay couple, Rohan and Josh, plan a perfect weekend getaway in the country to introduce their parents. As tensions begin to flare between the more traditional Sharon and Frank and the laid-back Liddy and Cliff, the families soon realize that their rental is haunted by the presence of a 400-year-old poltergeist.
Fun Fact: Brian Cox was supposed to film a nude scene for the film, but requested a body double instead.

THE ELECTRIC STATE (Netflix)
Synopsis: An orphaned teen hits the road with a mysterious robot to find her long-lost brother, teaming up with a smuggler and his wisecracking sidekick.
Fun Fact: Michelle Yeoh was originally cast but had to drop out due to scheduling conflicts. The role was reworked and her former co-star, Ke Huy Quan, took over.
DAAAAAALI! (MUBI)
Synopsis: A young French journalist repeatedly meets iconic surrealist artist Salvador Dalí for a documentary project that never came to be.
Fun Fact: The title contain 6 "a"s for the 6 different actors playing Dali.

Synopsis: A young sex worker from Brooklyn gets her chance at a Cinderella story when she meets and impulsively marries the son of an oligarch. Once the news reaches Russia, her fairytale is threatened as his parents set out to get the marriage annulled.
Fun Fact: The first American Palme d'Or winner since 2011’s The Tree of Life.

BATMAN NINJA VS. YAKUZA LEAGUE (Digital - Sale Only)
Synopsis: In this sequel to Batman Ninja, the Batman family has returned to the present to discover that Japan has disappeared, and a giant island - Hinomoto - is now in the sky over Gotham City. At the top sit the Yakuza, a group of superpowered individuals who reign without honor or humanity and look suspiciously like the Justice League. Now, it’s up to Batman and his allies to save Gotham!
Fun Fact: The Yakuza criminals in the story are meant to be an alternate version of the Justice League.
EXHIBITING FORGIVENESS (Hulu)
Synopsis: Utilizing his paintings to find freedom from his past, a Black artist on the path to success is derailed by an unexpected visit from his estranged father, a recovering addict desperate to reconcile. Together, they learn that forgetting might be a greater challenge than forgiving.
Fun Fact: The film was nominated for 6 NAACP Image Awards, including Outstanding Actor for André Holland. He and fellow nominees Colman Domingo (Sing Sing), John David Washington (The Piano Lesson), and Kingsley Ben-Adir (Bob Marley: One Love) all lost to Martin Lawrence in Bad Boys: Ride or Die.
THE OUTRUN (Netflix)
Synopsis: Fresh out of rehab, Rona returns to the Orkney Islands—a place both wild and beautiful, right off the Scottish coast. Now 29 and after more than a decade of living life on the edge in London, where she both found and lost love, Rona attempts to come to terms with her troubled past. Fun Fact: Rico Verhoeven, who has a small part as Vigo, one of the Sardinian henchmen, is better known as a professional kickboxer and MMA Heavyweight Champion.
O’DESSA (Hulu)
Synopsis: A farm girl is on an epic quest to recover a cherished family heirloom. Her journey leads her to a strange and dangerous city where she meets her one true love – but in order to save his soul, she must put the power of destiny and song to the ultimate test.
Fun Fact: Writer/director Geremy Jasper’s previous film was the 2017 Sundance Film Festival hit Patti Cake$.
TYLER PERRY’S DUPLICITY (Prime Video)
Synopsis: High-powered attorney Marley faces her most personal case yet when she is tasked with uncovering the truth behind the murder of her best friend Fela’s husband. SING SING (Max)
Synopsis: Divine G, imprisoned at Sing Sing for a crime he didn't commit, finds purpose by acting in a theatre group alongside other incarcerated men in this story of resilience, humanity, and the transformative power of art.
Fun Fact: The inmate who asks for Divine G's autograph early on in the film is played the real life Divine G, who is Oscar-nominated for co-writing the screenplay.
WICKED (Peacock)
Synopsis: In the land of Oz, ostracized and misunderstood green-skinned Elphaba is forced to share a room with the popular aristocrat Glinda at Shiz University, and the two's unlikely friendship is tested as they begin to fulfill their respective destinies as Glinda the Good and the Wicked Witch of the West.
Fun Fact: The gatekeeper who declares, "The Wizard will see you now," at the end of "One Short Day" is Stephen Schwartz, who composed the music and wrote the lyrics to the musical.

THE LINE (Hulu)
Synopsis: Tom, a passionate ‘brother’ of his fraternity, is charmed by the promises of high social status and alumni connections that open doors. But as Annabelle, a classmate outside his social circle, enters his life, his devotion begins to falter. Once the scheduled hazing of new fraternity members comes to a disturbing head, Tom faces the decision of a lifetime.
Sad Fact: The film world premiered at the 2023 Tribeca Film Festival just weeks before the untimely death of co-star Angus Cloud.
QUEER (Max)
Synopsis: 1950. William Lee, an American expat in Mexico City, spends his days almost entirely alone, except for a few contacts with other members of the small American community. His encounter with Eugene Allerton, an expat former soldier, new to the city, shows him, for the first time, that it might be finally possible to establish an intimate connection with somebody.
Fun Fact: William S. Burroughs' 1985 novella was published unfinished, so screenwriter Justin Kuritzkes and director Luca Guadagnino consulted Burroughs' scholar Oliver Harris on how to give the text a fitting ending, while maintaining the author's vision.
THE RULE OF JENNY PEN (Shudder, AMC+)
Synopsis: Confined to a secluded rest home and trapped within his stroke-ridden body, a former Judge must stop an elderly psychopath who employs a child's puppet to abuse the home's residents with deadly consequences.
Fun Fact: The film won James Ashcroft the best director prize at Fantastic Fest in Austin in September 2024, while John Lithgow and Geoffrey Rush shared the best actor award at Spain’s Sitges Film Festival in October 2024.

Synopsis: After being expelled from Beecher Prep for his treatment of a classmate with a facial deformity, Julian has struggled to fit in at his new school. THE BEST CHRISTMAS PAGEANT EVER (Starz)
Synopsis: The Herdman kids are undeniably the worst kids in the history of the world. They lie, steal, cheat, bully and overall terrorize their small community. But this Christmas, they're taking over their local church Pageant – and they just might unwittingly teach a shocked little town the true meaning of Christmas.
Fun Fact: Director Dallas Jenkins penned personal messages to Judy Greer, Pete Holmes, and Lauren Graham, explaining what he admired about them, why he thought they were perfect for the part, and kindly asked that they consider it. All three actors said yes.
