Viggo Mortensen’s THE DEAD DON’T HURT Digital Streaming Release Date Set

Shout! Studios has set a streaming release date for the Viggo Mortensen directed Western THE DEAD DON’T HURT, which will debut on VOD and digital platforms on July 16th, 2024. The film world premiered at the 2023 Toronto Film Festival before launching in US theaters on May 31st, 2024.
The Dead Don't Hurt was written, directed, and produced by Viggo Mortensen, and stars Mortensen, Vicky Krieps, Solly McLeod, Garret Dillahunt, Colin Morgan, Ray McKinnon, Luke Reilly, Atlas Green, and Danny Huston. Mortensen also composed the score to the film.
In the 1860s, fiercely independent French-Canadian Vivienne Le Coudy (Krieps) embarks on a journey with Danish immigrant Holger Olsen (Mortensen), attempting to forge a life together in the dusty town of Elk Flats, Nevada. When Holger decides to go fight for the Union in the burgeoning Civil War, Vivienne must fend for herself, which isn't easy in a town controlled by a corrupt mayor.
