Utopia’s THE GOOD HALF Gets Digital Streaming Release Date
Utopia is set to release their comedy-drama THE GOOD HALF on VOD and digital platforms early next month, arriving on September 3rd, 2024 September 6th, 2024. The film world premiered at the 2023 Tribeca Film Festival before launching in US theaters via Fathom Events on July 23rd, 2024.
Update 8/30: Utopia posted on social media that the film would premiere on VOD/Digital on September 6th, though digital retailers still have it listed as September 3rd. We’ll trust the distributor is correct and amend our streaming calendar.
The Good Half was directed by Robert Schwartzman and written by Brett Ryland. It stars Nick Jonas, Brittany Snow, David Arquette, Alexandra Shipp, Matt Walsh, and Elisabeth Shue.
In the film, an emotionally distant writer returns to his hometown of Cleveland for his beloved mother’s funeral, after having spent years successfully avoiding interactions with his high-strung sister, bumbling but well-meaning father, and untrustworthy step-father. While in town, he forges a new relationship with a charming, energetic stranger who pushes him to realize that he can’t avoid conflict forever — with his family or within himself.
We’ve added the release date to our streaming calendar. Check out the official US trailer below.
