Tyler Perry’s Epic War Drama THE SIX TRIPLE EIGHT Gets Theatrical, Netflix Streaming Premiere Date
Netflix has set theatrical and streaming premiere dates for Tyler Perry’s war epic THE SIX TRIPLE EIGHT, which will have a limited theatrical run on December 6th, 2024, before launching on Netflix on December 20th.
The Six Triple Eight written and directed by Tyler Perry, based on a 2019 WWII History magazine article by Kevin M. Hymel. It stars Kerry Washington, Ebony Obsidian, Milauna Jackson, Kylie Jefferson, Shanice Shantay, Sarah Jeffery, Pepi Sonuga, Moriah Brown, Jeanté Godlock, Jay Reeves, Jeffery Johnson, Baadja-Lyne Odums, Donna Biscoe, Gregg Sulkin, Scott Daniel Johnson, Susan Sarandon, with Dean Norris, and Sam Waterston, and Oprah Winfrey.
The film is inspired by the first and only Women’s Army Corps unit of color to serve overseas in World War II. Given an extraordinary mission and united in their determination, these unsung heroes delivered hope and shattered barriers.
