THE UGLY STEPSISTER Gets Shudder, Digital Streaming Release Date

The horror comedy THE UGLY STEPSISTER is set to make its streaming debut next month, arriving on Shudder and VOD and digital platforms on May 9th, 2025. The film world premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival, where it opened the Midnight section.
The Ugly Stepsister is co-written and directed by Emilie Blichfeldt in her directorial debut, and stars Lea Myren, Thea Sofie Loch Næss, Ane Dahl Torp, and Flo Fagerli.
In the film, in a fairy-tale kingdom where beauty is a brutal business, Elvira battles to compete with her incredibly beautiful stepsister, and she will go to any length to catch the prince’s eye.
