THE PERSIAN VERSION Digital Streaming Release Date Set

Sony Pictures Classics is set to release their comedy/drama THE PERSIAN VERSION on VOD and digital platforms, arriving on December 5th, 2023. The film premiered in US theaters on October 20th.

The Persian Version was directed and written by Maryam Keshavarz and stars Layla Mohammadi, Niousha Noor, Bijan Daneshmand, Bella Warda, and Tom Byrne. It follows the struggles of a young Iranian-American woman who is often at odds with her family, particularly with her mother.

The film had its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival on January 21, 2023, where it won two awards: the Audience Award for the U.S. Dramatic Competition and the Waldo Salt Screenwriting Award.
