THE DISAPPEARANCE OF SHERE HITE Gets AMC+ Streaming Premiere Date

Acclaimed documentary THE DISAPPEARANCE OF SHERE HITE is set to make its SVOD debut, arriving on the AMC+ subscription service on March 1st, 2024. The film world-premiered at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival before arriving in US theaters in limited release on November 17th, 2023.

The Disappearance of Shere Hite was directed by Nicole Newnham and is narrated by actress Dakota Johnson. It follows the life of American-born German sex educator and feminist Shere Hite, whose 1976 bestselling book, The Hite Report, revealed the most private experiences of thousands of anonymous survey respondents. Her findings rocked the American establishment and presaged current conversations about gender, sexuality, and bodily autonomy.
