Ketchup Entertainment is set to release their animated family film THE DAY THE EARTH BLEW UP: A LOONEY TUNES MOVIE on VOD and digital platforms later this month, arriving on April 15th, 2025. The film world premiered at the 2024 Annecy International Animation Film Festival and launched in US theaters on March 14th, 2025.
The Day the Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie is co-written and directed by Pete Browngardt in his feature directorial debut. The film is a spin-off from the Looney Tunes Cartoons series developed by Browngardt, and is the first fully animated and theatrically released film in the Looney Tunes franchise consisting of entirely original material. It features the voices of Eric Bauza, Candi Milo, and Peter MacNicol.
In the film, Porky and Daffy, the classic animated odd couple, turn into unlikely heroes when their antics at the local bubble gum factory uncover a secret alien mind control plot. Against all odds, the two are determined to save their town (and the world!)...that is if they don't drive each other crazy in the process.
