Summer Action Comedy THE FALL GUY Sets Prime Video Streaming Premiere Date
Universal Pictures’ THE FALL GUY is getting a new SVOD home early in the new year, as the film shifts from Peacock, where it launched on August 30th, 2024, to Prime Video, where it will debut on January 2nd, 2025. The film arrived in US theaters on May 3rd, 2024.
The Fall Guy was directed by David Leitch and written by Drew Pearce, loosely based on the 1980s TV series. The plot follows a stuntman (Ryan Gosling) working on his ex-girlfriend's (Emily Blunt) directorial debut action film, only to find himself involved in a conspiracy surrounding the film's lead actor (Aaron Taylor-Johnson). The cast also features Hannah Waddingham, Teresa Palmer, Stephanie Hsu, and Winston Duke.
No word yet whether the Extended Cut, which debuted on Peacock, will also be available on the Amazon platform.
