Sony Pictures Classics’ SHORTCOMINGS Sets Digital Premiere Date

Randall Park’s directorial debut SHORTCOMINGS will arrive on digital and VOD platforms on September 12th, 2023. The film world-premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival, and launched in US theaters on August 4th.

Shortcomings is based on the comic of the same name by Adrian Tomine (who also wrote the screenplay), and stars Justin H. Min, Sherry Cola, Ally Maki, Debby Ryan, Tavi Gevinson, Sonoya Mizuno, Jacob Batalon and Timothy Simons.

Sony Classics has been one of the most consistent distributors to stick with a 90-day theatrical exclusive window. Now with this film, and previously IT AINT OVER, it look like they’re showing some flexibility on pushing some titles to PVOD earlier.
