Netflix has confirmed the launch date of its highly-anticipated survival story SOCIETY OF THE SNOW. It will launch on the platform on January 4th, 2024, with a Oscar-qualifying 2023 theatrical run still to be announced.

From Gaudí and Goya award–winning director J.A. Bayona (The Impossible, A Monster Calls),Society of the Snow tells the near-impossible true story of Uruguayan Air Force Flight 571, which was chartered to take a rugby team to Chile, and crashed into a glacier in the heart of the Andes. The story has previously been depicted in the 1993 film ALIVE.
